Dr. Vincent Oviedo, DSW LCSW Psychotherapy and Executive Coaching
I'm Dr. Vincent Oviedo, a Doctor of Social Work and Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in mental well-being. I provide psychotherapy to adults at various stages of life, with a professional focus on men's mental health, older adults, life transitions, grief and loss, trauma, loneliness, and social connection.
Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working with individuals ranging from adolescents and young adults to men navigating the responsibilities of midlife, as well as older adults who are adjusting to retirement, loss, and changing relationships while seeking meaning and purpose. These experiences have reinforced my belief that social health is intricately linked to our relationships, sense of belonging, and the environments we inhabit.
As a therapist, I adopt a warm, conversational, and collaborative approach. I believe therapy works best when you feel comfortable enough to speak honestly and be yourself. You don't need to arrive knowing exactly what to say or where to begin. We'll work together to understand what's happening and determine what you would like to be different.
My doctoral research focused on social isolation, social connection, and social health, particularly in men and the Gen Z population. This work intensified my interest in how relationships, belonging, loneliness, and meaningful connections significantly influence emotional well-being throughout adulthood.
Whether you're navigating young adulthood, managing the complexities of midlife, or embracing the changes and opportunities of later life, therapy provides a valuable space for reflection, reconnection, and envisioning your next chapter.
